From Friday, April 13 to Sunday, April 22, 2001, we joined 16 other Ottawa Bicycle Club members for the "Spring to Virginia" tour. Lynne was one of the organizers of this OBC tour. Some of us left for York (PA) on Thursday afternoon to get an extra ride in on Friday. Officially, the tour started in Harpers Ferry and we cycled for 10 days through the northern part of Virginia. Our route was; Harpers Ferry, Upperville (close to the Blue Ridge Mountains), Fredericksburg, Locust Dale, Warrenton and back to Harpers Ferry.

The first couple of days were warm and sunny. Work on that cycler's tan! After the weekend it cooled down and we got a bit of rain while cycling from Upperville to Fredericksburg. Later on in the week the sunny weather came back. It was a nice way to start the cycling season.

Have a look at some of the pictures of this trip.
